Blank Spaces

So much of what we acquire in life is worthless stuff to fill up blank spaces when what we need more than anything are the blank spaces. We need more moments in between thoughts and words, more pauses in conversations to enjoy the silence connection between us and another. We need more quiet time between the activities that keep us busy and stop us from remembering to breathe in spirit. We need more space in our lives and our worlds, space not filled with stuff to distract us from who were are in the middle of the night when no one else is around. We need the blank spaces as much as we need the air we breathe. Just as we've grown accustomed to breathing polluted air, we've also grown accustomed to living without many blank spaces and those busy, cluttered places and moments are what begin to suffocate us after a while. Time take to clear your space, your mind, and your life. Take time to breathe in the expansiveness of Spirit.
